About

Welcome To Integrative Medicine

The underlying philosophy of our clinic is to place you, the patient, at the center of our healthcare approach. Through thorough examinations and advanced lab testing, our objective is to not only diagnose and treat your health concerns but to also empower you with knowledge. We believe in educating you about the nature of your health issues, equipping you with the understanding needed to take control of your well-being.
Simultaneously, we offer a range of supportive methods such as acupuncture, bodywork, FSM (frequency-specific micro-current), infusion therapy, and heavy metal chelation, among others. These serve as temporary aids, akin to crutches, to help you regain your health and independence. Our primary aim, whenever possible, is to facilitate your full recovery and even surpass it. In cases where complete recovery may not be feasible, our commitment is to enhance your quality of life to the highest attainable standards.

About Dr. Tobias Pintar

Looking through the web, it became apparent that many functional and integrative medicine practitioners, much like myself, stumbled upon this wonderful approach through a personal health quest. Dissatisfied with the limitations of the conventional Western medical model, I embarked on a journey to explore alternative paths that focus on diagnosing and treating diseases at their root causes rather than merely alleviating symptoms.

Growing up, my father was a general practitioner, and despite his well-intentioned advice, I chose to pursue a career in medicine at Karl-Franzens-Universität Graz in Austria, where I proudly graduated in 1994. However, it didn’t take long for me to realize that the real world of medicine was far more complex than the idealized version I had encountered in my studies. The notion of diagnosing an illness, prescribing a pill or treatment, and seeing a patient happily recover didn’t always hold true. Often enough people became chronically ill, reliant on medications for the rest of their lives and I yearned to find a better way.

Following my completion of vocational training and a stint as a general practitioner, I embarked on a new path by exploring complementary healing methods. This led me to study chiropractics, as well as traditional Chinese and European auricular acupuncture, driven by a deep-seated interest in pain management. Equipped with this knowledge, I founded a practice for acupuncture and holistic medicine in Graz.

However, life occasionally takes unexpected turns. Not long after welcoming our first child, I followed my wife to live in Ireland. Even before this life changing turn my own health took a downturn as I gradually developed chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia. The culprit turned out to be a root canal tooth that had been silently festering, harboring a chronic infection and inflammation for years. In hindsight, I realized that long before this, I must have been grappling with issues like leaky gut and dysbiosis due to recurrent antibiotic use, which likely played a role in the development of that troublesome tooth.

Nonetheless, the persistent pain and fatigue fuelled my quest for knowledge. This journey led me to delve into Pain Therapy according to Liebscher&Bracht, FSM (frequency-specific-microcurrent), Orthomolecular Medicine, and ultimately Functional Medicine. The latter, in particular, served as the connective tissue that allowed me to create a comprehensive toolbox for the treatment of patients who sought genuine healing rather than the mere management of their symptoms.

In essence, my personal health quest transformed my professional journey, equipping me with a profound understanding of the intricacies of integrative medicine and the commitment to help others on their path to true well-being.

What People Say

I have been struggling with neck and shoulder pains for a very long time. I weight train and a wedding photographer which means a lot of strain and tension on my shoulders. I have been to see physiotherapists and doctors who managed to relieve the pain for an hour or two at the most, prescribed painkillers which again had a very temporary result.

Following just one session with Dr Tobias, he managed to determine exactly where the pain is coming from and offered me a treatment that has helped me immensely. Alongside the treatment, he gave me excellent honest advice and exercises which I have been doing every day. I feel that the exercises have put me more in control of treating my own pain and thanks to Dr Tobias I have slept better in the last couple of nights than I have in the last few months. Highly recommend.

I went to Dr. Tobias with chronic plantar fasciitis pain in both of my feet. I have been to so many people over more than 10 years, including having surgery on both feet, and nothing as ever eased my pain. After just one session with Dr. Tobias, I could not believe the reduction in my pain. Pain-free after 10 years is nothing short of a miracle for me. If you suffer from pain I would highly recommend a visit here.

Very helpful and very professional. I consulted Tobias about some chronic issues with my neck and shoulders (I spend a lot of time behind the computer for work and playing an instrument). As a skeptic of alternative treatments, I have to say that I was really impressed by his approach. In just one session, he helped me pinpoint areas that seemed to cause the problems and also provided me with exercises I could use to address them. I really liked how this helped me do something about the issues myself, and without having to have endless new consultations. For people with chronic issues, I would definitely recommend giving this a try!
